The following is my letter to President Taylor at the University of Utah.  The state of Utah is becoming infected with the progressive ideologies or being "woke" under the guise of Diversity Equity and Inclusion. Utah's governor Cox proudly proclaims his pronouns.  This spreading insanity infects and affects everything, including our judicial system and the ability to clearly see what is just and unjust, what is constitutional and unconstitutional, what is moral and immoral, what is righteous and what is evil.  If we look the other way on such minor things as tampons in men's restrooms, should we also look the other way on vaccines and masks? What else will the tsunami of progressive ideology ask us to tolerate in the future?

Dear President Taylor:

I am an alum of the U, graduating with a MS in Human Resources Management in 1977.

Recently, we enjoyed the traditional Messiah concert in the Gardner Hall and during break, I went to the men’s restroom.  I was deeply dismayed and outraged to see sanitary napkins and tampons for women in the men’s restroom, a bold symbol of “wokeism” for progressive university campuses.

 I was a pre-med student and took anatomy and physiology classes that showed the vast biological differences between females and males.  As the French say, “viva la difference”. 

Females menstruate, males do not. Females through the complex differences in their biology, give birth to our human species, males do not give birth nor do males nurse their babies nor do males need breast feeding rooms.   

These vast differences have supported the centuries old tradition of separate bathrooms and dressing facilities due to privacy and modesty reasons.   When I was a student in the liberal, hippie 70’s, had I walked into a female restroom on purpose and with intention, I would not only have been expelled from the school but I probably would have had legal action taken against me. 

Now, in these enlightened and “woke” times, a biological and chromosomal female is welcome to come into a men’s restroom to find sanitary napkins and tampons.   Not only is it improper from a logical and biological standpoint, but it is a species of incomprehensible insanity.   No amount of perverted “wokeism” can justify this policy and practice of mixing restrooms and dressing facilities between biological males and females.  

Under the false veil of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, bright line boundaries between males and females are being crossed.  DEI is morally and intellectually bankrupt if it purports to justify biological males and females peering into each other’s restrooms and dressing rooms. 

Ironically, many of the faculty and staff, although purporting to support tampons in a man’s restroom, would be appalled and embarrassed if a female actually took advantage of it beyond its symbolic appearance. 

As a former alum and as a taxpayer of a state sponsored institution, I ask you to cease and desist from this practice of encouraging biological genders or sexes to use each other’s restrooms.  Please remove the napkins/tampons from men’s restrooms and continue to keep them separate and segregated based on centuries of cherished traditions of privacy and modesty.

Failure to do so will result in further action on my part.
